One of the best ways to increase your search engine rankings is to get more links. But, if your website isn’t linkable nobody is going to link to it. That means you’re not going rank. Today, I want to discuss how to make your site more linkable.
The first thing you need to do is include a blog people love linking to content and information – particularly ones that teach or that are amusing or that tell jokes or anything that entertains. If you don’t have a blog you’re most likely anticipating people are going to link your product pages or your contact page. The chances are they’re not.
The second thing I suggest, and this works incredibly well if you’re a B2B company, is to have case studies. When you have a case study, the company that you’re presenting often will link back to it and promote it. So if you’re a B2B company contact all your customers and try to create case studies.
The third item that you need to do is create detailed guides and content like ebooks, white papers or advanced guides. When you do this people will think, “Oh my God, this information is so remarkable it could be a book I ‘d spend $50 for on Amazon. But, I can get it from your website completely free!” That’s what leads to a ton of links.
Lastly, create infographics. I know infographics have been out for a long time but people have quit doing them. I don’t know why, they still go viral. People love linking to them more than any other content type out there. But for some weird reason people have become lazy and they’re not creating as many infographics. Go to dribble.com and you can find infographic designers.
I hope this information was valuable in leading you to grow more backlinks to your website. To recap: Create quality content, produce some case studies, write a guide, and get inforgraphics designed. Follow these three suggestions and watch the backlinks come flowing to your website.
